A testament to the American Spirit

In America, you can start from anywhere, with or without benefits and advantages from your family, and make your own way and your own life. At any time, you can decide to change and do something completely different. Your life is yours to create. This and this alone is what makes Americans so unique. We are FREE to choose our own paths in life, our own future and our own destiny. In New York City the sport of handball is much like the sport of soccer in Brazil. It is one of the most popular trends and activities among the community and although we have some of the most talented athletes from around the world, the vast majority of them seldom get the opportunity to showcase their talents. This year, that was not the case.

Among the midst of political debate, negative news broadcasts and a declining economy the 2012 World Handball Championships have provided somewhat of a breath of fresh air as the “big blue” wall ball community now has a new Champion to welcome home!

This week Wall Ball World is proud to congratulate Team USA for its stunning performance at this year’s World Handball Championships! We are also very proud to congratulate the new Men’s Doubles Champions from Team Puerto Rico – Herman Mendez & Wally Amaro and the Women’s World Singles Champion, Michelle Melendez!!!

Lastly and most importantly, we are extremely proud and privileged to congratulate the new Open Singles Champion of the World, our very own from Brooklyn, New York – Tywan Cook!

Congratulations to our new Players of the Week – TEAM USA!

World Handball Champion – Tywan Cook of Brooklyn, New York, USA
