Pride

Excellence is always the result of individuals or groups holding themselves to higher standards than that of others. When people individually or collectively hold themselves to low standards or expectations, it serves to diminish their sense of self-pride and self-respect. Challenging and elevating our own personal and professional standards will only help us grow and provide us with a more powerful sense of PRIDE.

This past weekend the USWA challenged members of the NYC handball community to compete within standards set by those of professional sports leagues; and the players did not disappoint! The competitors displayed a sense of compassion and competitiveness for winning while maintaining a mutual respect for each other on the courts. Change and improvement isn’t always an easy thing to accept, but it will have positive effects on the sport we love so much!

Congratulations to the winners of the USWA “B” Mixed, Gladys and Pazmino!
