The Dynamic Duo

Last week Wall Ball World introduced you to the Open Single Invitational MVP, Earl “Black Mamba” DuBios. We mentioned that he was quickly becoming one of the fastest and youngest threats on the courts and at the USWA’s Men’s “B” Doubles he did not disappoint!

Earl and partner, Franklin Vera aka “Geo,” are undoubtedly the team to beat in the amateur division. They both play with the mentality that no shot is unreachable which ultimately frustrates their opponent and creates a tremendous amount of pressure. They made their debut as a team in the USWA Men’s “B” Doubles handball tournament and the combination proved to be successful. “Geo and I are going to stay together as a team” says Earl, “he works hard and I have a lot of heart and that’s a great combination.” Geo also adds “I like playing with Earl. We’re a lock team and even though I’m confident I respect anybody who steps in the box. I don’t sleep on nobody and I respect everybody’s game.” That attitude is what gives this team a winning edge. They are both humble players on and off the court and treat every opponent with dignity and respect. Wall Ball World is proud to recognize these players and the “B” division for their participation in the USWA event. “I think the USWA is a great organization! The rules alone help the players play at their potential. No more making bad calls or unnecessary calls and more respect on the courts. They helped me to be more disciplined and I believe the more discipline I have the better I’ll be” says Earl.

Congratulations to our new Players of the Week, Earl “Black Mamba” DuBois & Franklin “Geo” Vera!

Champions - Earl & Geo

2nd Place - Chris S. & Camacho

3rd Place - Pito & Ronal

This week we’d also like to highlight a player that unanimously was chosen as the USWA event MVP. This player has only recently stepped up his game and has been playing with a tremendous amount of heart and determination. Like Earl and Geo, he too has a winning attitude and a burning desire to become the best.

Congratulations to the USWA Men’s “B” Doubles MVP, Chris Show!
