Aliya NelsonMs. Nelson is a seasoned attorney and philanthropist who has successfully combined business acumen with altruistic endeavors.

As an executive and entrepreneur, She has served as a managing principal of an experiential marketing and activation agency that owned and operated branded youth sports properties around the United States and a multicultural advertising and experiential agency that served clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small and mid-sized companies. As an attorney, she primarily focused on entertainment, intellectual property and corporate transactional matters and has represented Grammy Award winning artists, songwriters and producers as well as media and technology companies. Ms. Nelson has served as an adjunct professor for the New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies and College of New Rochelle School of New Resources.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Nelson has been actively engaged throughout her life as a director, executive and member of a number of civic, charitable and philanthropic organizations. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Ms. Nelson is a graduate of the United Way’s Linkages professional board training program and is a former member of the Board of Directors and Board of Advisors of Behind the Book, Inc. as well as the Board of Directors of the New Rochelle Boys and Girls Club. She also served for a number of years as the Manhattan Chapter President and New York State Coordinator of Mocha Moms, Inc. Ms. Nelson has also performed private philanthropic event planning and fundraising for various charities.

Ms. Nelson is a graduate of Rutgers College with degrees in Political Science and Art History and attended the Rutgers Art History Institute in Paris, France. Ms. Nelson received her Juris Doctorate degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University.
